How to get a unique chess experience

with Vladimir Akopian?

Vladimir gives private lessons concentrating on middlegame, endgame, calculation, positional play, etc. Carefully selected positions on tactics and strategy together with his explanations will significantly improve your level of play.

Coaching Experience
In 1998 Akopian was helping Alexei Shirov to prepare for his World Championship match against Garry Kasparov that eventually got canceled.

In 2004 Vladimir Akopian acted as Peter Leko's second in the Kramnik – Leko World Championship Match (Brissago, 2004). The same year, Qatar Olympic Chess Committee invited Vladimir to work in Qatar Chess Association.

From 2004 to 2007, he worked as a coach of the three top players of Qatar, Mohammed Al-Modiahki, Zhu Chen (former woman world champion), and Mohammed Al-Sayed.

From 2015 to 2017, Akopian was invited by Sharjah & Chess Cultural
Club to work as a coach of top chess player Salem A.R. Saleh.

In the period of 2008-2015, 2017-2019, Vladimir worked as a coach of
Armenian Chess Federation helping young players to improve.

In 2015 Vladimir was awarded the highest Coach title, FIDE Senior Trainer.
